Following Saturday night’s game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, the excellent Anthony Marcotte delivered quite a message to Martin St-Louis.

Remember that on Friday, Martin St-Louis opened the door to a potential surprise and refused to officially name Samuel Montembeault as the starting goalie for the game against the St. Louis Blues, even though it was the second game in two nights. That’s pretty significant.

While St-Louis has always consistently used both of his goalies during back-to-back sequences, he could throw that out the window and go back to Jakub Dobes for tonight’s game against the Blues.

That would send quite a message, and it would obviously be very bad news for Samuel Montembeault.

On this topic, BPM Sports host Anthony Marcotte is unequivocal.

“By the way, I couldn’t care less about the back-to-back.

Tomorrow, it has to be Jakub Dobes in net. You can’t say it was a very taxing game for him. The timing is perfect to go back to him.”

– Marcotte

Do you agree with him on this one?

We’ll get the answer in the next few hours, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens! Dobes, 24 years old, now has a 10-3-2 record this season, with a goals-against average of 2.95 and a save percentage of 0.895. He made 22 saves last night as the Canadiens prevailed in a spectacular shootout in Toronto.

And you, which one would you send between the pipes for today’s game?
