After two recent defeats, the San Jose Sharks with Philipp Kurashev win 4-1 against the Carolina Hurricanes in the NHL.
After an even first period, Kurashev was one of the assists in the second to make it 2:1. The fact that the Sharks extended their lead to 4:1, while the Hurricanes failed to score, was mainly due to goalie Alex Nedeljkovic.
The 29-year-old made 28 saves. “He was outstanding tonight,” coach Ryan Warsofsky said after the game via the NHL website.
The Swiss goalie in the NHL, Akira Schmid, on the other hand, was left out in the cold by his Vegas Golden Knights. He had to give way to Carter Hart in the 3-2 overtime win against the New York Rangers.
The St. Louis Blues also celebrated a victory with Pius Suter. The 29-year-old went scoreless in a 4-3 win against the Montréal Canadiens.
