The Detroit Red Wings look to build some momentum on Monday night, as they get set to visit the Vancouver Canucks.
The Red Wings had a rather inauspicious start to their six-game road trip last week, blowing a late lead to the Columbus Blue Jackets. However, the team managed to turn things around as they headed out to the Pacific Northwest.
Thanks to goals from a variety of characters, Detroit managed to grab a 4-3 win over the Seattle Kraken, giving the team points in three straight games. For a Wings team that has relied heavily on its play on home ice so far, picking up important victories on the road might be the difference between making it back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs and missing out for a 10th straight season.
They take on a Canucks team that is in a little bit of disarray. Two years removed from winning the Pacific Division, Vancouver has struggled to find consistency and maintain a healthy lineup, leading to the team failing to qualify for the postseason last year, and it is looking like it might suffer the same fate this season.
