That setback to the Panthers snapped a run of three straight wins by the Isles, highlighted by a a 6-3 victory over the Colorado Avalanche, another Western threat that owns the NHL’s best record. New York goes into Tuesday night’s matchup with a 16-11-3 mark and third-place standing in the Metropolitan Division.
