The Carolina Hurricanes (17-9-2) will close out their recent seven game homestand tonight with a tilt against the Columbus Blue Jackets, (13-10-6).

Game time is 7:30 P.M. and it will be televised by ESPN+.

So far the team is 3-3 as they have provided their home fans at times with some uninspired hockey.

Overall, they are three points behind the first place Washington Capitals and four points in front of the last place Jackets.

According to reports on “X”, Brandon Bussi will be back in net for the home team.

Bussi has been nothing short of reliable and he is sporting an 8-1-0 record since being acquired from the waiver wire. He also has a respectable GAA of 2.21 and a save percentage of .903.

Walt is also reporting that the jumbled lines from the third period of the game against San Jose are back to normal today.

Jesperi Kotkaniemi was not on the ice and was being replaced by Mark Jankowski.

While Jaccob Slavin was on the ice at the morning skate, he is not expected to return to action tonight.

Sebastian Aho leads the team with 26 points in 28 games. Seth Jarvis has a team best 16 goals to go with his 24 points.

Columbus is 3-3-4 in their last 10 games.

Zach Werenski leads them in scoring with 9 goals and 30 points in 29 games played.
