The Nashville Predators host the Colorado Avalanche on Dec. 9 (8:50 p.m. TNT) at Bridgestone Arena.

Nashville (10-14-4, 24 points) have won four of its last six games, but is coming off a 6-3 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Dec. 6. Ryan O’Reilly has five points his last five games and leads the Predators with 21 points. He’s recently been paired with Steven Stamkos, who has seen a recent uptick in scoring – Stamkos has four goals in his last six games.

The top-ranked Colorado Avalanche (21-2-6, 48 points) have the No. 1 ranked offense (3.97 goals per game) and the No. 1 ranked defense (2.17 goals allowed per game). Nathan MacKinnon leads the NHL with 49 points, including 24 goals.

The Avalanche shut out the Predators 3-0 in their previous meeting at Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 22.

The goaltending matchup should feature Juuse Saros for the Predators and Scott Wedgewood for the Avalanche.
