Philadelphia Flyers’ winger Travis Konecny collected his 500th career point Tuesday night late in the first period. Konecny got the secondary assist as he lobbed a high arcing pass that Trevor Zegras collected. Zegras fed a pass to Christian Dvorak who beat Sharks goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic to tie the game 1-1.

Konecny recorded his 500th point in his 674th game, all with Philadelphia. He becomes the 17th Flyer in franchise history to reach that milestone. And should, barring injury this season, surpass Rick Tocchet (508), Reggie Leach (514), and Gary Dornhoefer (518) rather easily, putting him 14th all-time. And he should probably pass Eric Desjardins (303), John LeClair (310), and Dornhoefer (316) when it comes to assists as Konecny now stands with 295 assists. On the goals side, Konecny has 205, putting him six behind fellow Flyers teammate Sean Couturier (211) and some distance from Rick Tocchet and Mark Recchi (both with 232).
The winger has also produced equally well at home as he has on the road. He now has 259 points at home and 241 on the road. And he loves playing the Columbus Blue Jackets, as he’s earned 35 points (17 goals, 18 assists) in 30 games against the Metropolitan Division rivals. On the other side of the coin, outside of Utah, Konecny has just six points (three goals, three assists) against Winnipeg, his lowest output among all NHL teams.
The London, Ontario native was drafted in the first round (24th overall) in the 2015 NHL Draft and made a good impression in his rookie season with 11 goals and 17 assists in 70 games. In 2019-20 and again in 2023-24 he represented the Flyers at the NHL All-Star Game.
The winger, who had a career-high 76 points in 2024-25, is off to another strong start with 24 points thanks to seven goals and 17 assists. He remains on the radar when it comes to Team Canada’s roster at the upcoming Winter Olympics, but is probably going to have his work cut out for him to make the final cut. Players like Macklin Celebrini, Nick Suzuki, and Connor Bedard are putting up strong cases to get on the team. Earlier today Team Canada General Manager Doug Armstrong said all players who represented Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off are still on the list.
