Dillon Dube has signed an American Hockey League professional tryout agreement with the St. Louis Blues and will report to the Springfield Thunderbirds upon receiving his work visa.

Dube has not played in the NHL since he was a member of the Calgary Flames in the 2023-24 season. Now, 27, Dube spent last season playing in the Kontinental Hockey League in Russia with the Minsk Dynamo.

Dube was one of five former members of Canada’s 2018 World Junior hockey team charged with sexual assault in connection with an alleged incident that occurred in June of 2018 in London, Ont.

Dube and the others – Carter Hart, Michael McLeod, Callan Foote and Alex Formenton – were acquitted of the charges in July.

A native of Golden, B.C., Dube has played all six of his NHL seasons with the Flames since being selected in the second round of the 2016 NHL Draft.
