Schmid shut out the New Jersey Devils 3-0 Friday in his last turn. He stopped all 24 shots fired his way. He was between the pipes in the first meeting this season, stopping 20 of 24.
Sorokin was between the pipes Saturday in the 2-0 win over Tampa. He saved all 32 fired his way. He’s one of the better tendies you don’t hear a lot about. Sorokin is second in the sport with 19.8 goals saved above expected. He was 2-0-0 and allowed 1 goal on 64 shots in 2 meetings with Vegas last season.

Sorokin makes this one a tough call because he was so good against them last season and is coming off a shutout. It may take extra time, but VGK’s offense is far and away better than the Isles.

Take ILYA SOROKIN OVER 24.5 SAVES (-125). The Knights average the seventh-most shots at 29.6 per game, and Sorokin has been on top of his game.
The Isles are 2-8 O/U in their last 10, and Vegas is 4-5-1. Both goalies are playing well, and the Islanders’ inability to put 3 on the board moves the needle.
