The Detroit Red Wings picked up a 4-3 win last night over the Flames to improve to 3-0-1 on their road trip. They play tonight against the Edmonton Oilers and then again on Saturday against the Chicago Blackhawks as they conclude the trip. During last night’s win over Calgary, the Red Wings saw defenseman Simon Edvinsson leave the game with an upper-body injury. Today, it was mentioned that Edvinsson and defenseman Jacob Bernard-Docker are both questionable for tonight’s game. Due to that, the Red Wings have recalled defenseman Erik Gustafsson from Grand Rapids of the AHL. In 14 games this season, he has 14 points on a goal and 13 assists and is a +13. He also played in one game with Detroit this season in which he finished as a minus-one.
