COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The captain is back.
After missing 14 games with an upper body injury, center Boone Jenner will make his return against the Ottawa Senators on Thursday night.
“I’m just going to bring what I’ve always brought. Come out and compete with the guys and be back with the group, really looking forward to that and excited for the challenge and the opportunity to get back out there with the guys,” Jenner said.
Jenner, 32, has three goals and seven assists for ten points in 16 games this season. A versatile player, Jenner brings skill and leadership back to the Jacket’s lineup.

“I think it’s huge for our group,” Defenseman Zack Werenski said. “The way he leads in the room, the way he prepares, the way he plays, it’s great for guys to follow and he brings guys into the fight, so we’re excited to get him back tonight.”
The Jackets are looking to break a three-game losing streak coming off of a tough stretch on the road.
