The Senators took the 1-0 lead off a one-handed effort by Perron, whose rebound opportunity went through the legs of Merzlikins.

Jenner’s fourth got the Jackets on the board and back within two, but Amadio’s goal just before the end of the first period gave the Senators another three-goal lead, making it 4-1.

In the second period, Dante Fabbro cut the deficit back to two goals with a second-period tally at 3:02. Voronkov’s power play goal had Columbus within one goal before Stutzle’s second goal of the game at 17:59 of the second period put Ottawa ahead 5-3.

Michael Amadio with a filthy move to make it 4-1! #GoSensGo

What a pass by Giroux. Greig also snaps a 6 game pointless skid.
