Not since the 2017-18 season has Brainerd/Little Falls girls’ hockey gone unbeaten through their first seven games. That year, and the year after that, they made the state tourney. The Warriors had a big game Thursday night, where they were at home versus Alexandria in their second Section 8AA showdown of the season.
The Cardinals put up three goals in the first eight minutes. Brainerd’s Harper Moore answered later in the first period to make it 3-1, but the Warriors were unable to find the back of the net the rest of the night, dropping their first game of the season to Alexandria 6-1.
