Nashville Predators star Steven Stamkos stole the spotlight on Thursday night, exploding for four goals in a dominant 7–2 win over the St. Louis Blues. Nashville has started to regain its footing after a rocky opening stretch, winning four of its last five games.

Despite this promising momentum, the team still sits last in the Central Division with a 12-14-4 record. Nonetheless, on a night when the Predators needed a spark, Stamkos gave them a full-blown fire.

Steven Stamkos’ Four-Goal Masterclass Electrifies the NHL World

Stamkos came out blazing, scoring twice in the first period and twice more in the second, his second career four-goal game. And his first since December 14, 2023, with Tampa Bay. He’s now just the fourth player in Predators history to hit four goals in a game.

Stamkos also continues a hot streak with eight goals in his last eight games after managing only four in his first 22. And as you’d expect, hockey fans had plenty to say.

One fan shared how special the moment felt, saying that the season hasn’t unfolded the way many hoped since Stamkos arrived in Nashville. “But it’s pretty cool that #Preds fans get to see a legend of the game put together a performance like this in their team’s jersey,” the fan wrote.

Another fan talked about the pure joy of watching the team actually dominate a game again, saying, “I enjoyed it tonight.  I like watching winning hockey. Seeing a HOF player score 4 goals for your team doesn’t suck.”

Some reactions came with a mix of humor and disbelief, like the comment from a user who asked, “Where has this guy been???? I like this version.”

Another fan took it a step further, saying, “This gets me goin, get stammer 1 more cup.”

Inside the arena, the atmosphere was just as electric. One fan joked that Bridgestone Arena’s roof was about to blow off, describing, “Bridgestone Arena’s roof may come off! This place is LOUD! #Preds up 6-2. Stamkos 4 goals.”

Of course, not every reaction was celebratory, as a fan chimed in with some self-deprecating humor, saying, “Against the Blues (my team) so it doesn’t really count because they are absolutely pathetic.”
