It sounds like the San Jose Sharks have their share of line-up questions.
Headed into the last game of their five-game road trip at the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday, the Sharks held an optional practice at PPG Paints Arena on Friday. About half the team skated.
San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky reported that defenseman Shakir Mukhamadullin (upper-body), winger Ryan Reaves (upper-body), and center Ty Dellandrea (lower-body) would all be game-time decisions. Mukhamadullin was on the ice for practice, while the other two weren’t.
Alex Nedeljkovic also had the well-deserved day off. Nedeljkovic has started the last three games, winning two of them, and stopping 82 of 88 shots.
Yaroslav Askarov has been ill, well enough to back up, but was still clearly under the weather, according to Sheng’s observation, after taking part in the optional.
