It was a battle of longtime rivals at the annual Adam Mitchell KLAA-MIHL Hockey Showcase early Saturday evening at Eddie Edgar Arena when Trenton took on Livonia Stevenson.
After starting the year a perfect 8-0, Trenton came into the big matchup having hit a bit of a slump in the last week and, unfortunately, the woes continued through the weekend.
After taking an early lead, special teams struggles ensued as four unanswered goals from the Spartans of Stevenson resulted in an eventual 5-2 loss for the local Trojans, their third straight overall.
