Offensive reinforcements appear to be getting closer for the Montreal Canadiens, and Kirby Dach is once again at the center of the conversation.

On TVA Sports last week, journalist Renaud Lavoie revealed that Kaiden Guhle, Patrik Laine, and Kirby Dach are all progressing in their respective recoveries. Among those players, Dach is the most intriguing name.

Kirby Dach Back on the Ice as Return Timeline Comes Into Focus

Dach has now been seen skating again, and by all indications, he looked comfortable and in good shape during his recent sessions.

This remains a situation that needs to be monitored closely, but there is no question that Dach’s return could be sooner than expected.

“Kirby Dach could return to play before Christmas.”

This will be a situation to monitor closely, but obviously, Dach’s return would provide a significant boost for Martin St-Louis’ group and greatly ease Kent Hughes’ job.

I’m really looking forward to seeing what the lines will look like once he’s back, especially now that he appears to have been overtaken by young Oliver Kapanen.

Oliver Kapanen, 22 years old, has recorded 16 points in 32 games this season, including 10 goals, with a neutral plus-minus.

Kirby Dach, 24 years old, has 7 points in 15 games this season, including 5 goals, with a minus-2 rating (minus-29 last season).

Another interesting element in this discussion is how Patrik Laine fits back into the lineup as well, once he is cleared to return, especially after being seen traveling with Kirby Dach.
