The Nashville Predators host the Carolina Hurricanes at Bridgestone Arena on Dec. 17.

The Predators beat the St. Louis Blues 5-2 on Dec. 15, their second straight win against their Central Division rivals. Filip Forsberg scored his 11th career hat trick, pushing back into the team lead with 14 goals.

Nashville (13-15-4, 30 points) have won seven of their last 10 games, but remain in eighth place in the division.

Carolina (21-9-2, 44 points) is in first place in the Metropolitan Division, three points clear of the New York Islanders. The Hurricanes have won four straight games, three of which were won in a shootout. Seth Jarvis leads the Hurricanes with 18 goals and 8 assists.

Carolina won the previous matchup with Nashville, beating the Predators 6-3 on Dec. 6.

The goaltending matchup should feature Juuse Saros for the Predators and Brandon Bussi for the Hurricanes.
