The Vancouver Canucks are reportedly working on another trade just days after sending their now-former captain Quinn Hughes to the Minnesota Wild last Friday.

Vancouver Canucks reportedly working to get Lukas Reichel trade done
Canucks are trying to trade Reichel. There is a chance of a deal happening.” Dhaliwal said on X on Sunday.
However, the opposite happened as while Reichel began his tenure with the Canucks down the middle, he was quickly moved to the wing by Head Coach Adam Foote and also found himself in the press box as a healthy scratch on a handful of occasions.
In 14 games with the Canucks, the Nuremberg, Germany native had just one assist, four penalty minutes, was a minus-five and averaged 13:06 of ice time per night.
As Lukas Reichel awaits a trade, he’ll be suiting up for the American Hockey League’s Abbotsford Canucks while his agent Alain Roy works to facilitate a trade after receiving permission to do so by the Canucks’ front office, according to Rick Dhaliwal.
“Lukas Reichel will be reporting to Abbotsford until a trade happens.
Reichel’s agent Alain Roy has permission from the Canucks to help facilitate a trade.” Dhaliwal said.
Reichel is set to make his Abbotsford Canucks debut and appear in his first AHL game since the 2023-24 season on Friday night as they host the Tucson Roadrunners.
