The 34-year-old is also in the midst of a down year, having notched only seven goals and three assists in 27 games while recording a minus-17 rating.
Marchessault had previously reached the 30-goal plateau three times in his career and also helped lead the Vegas Golden Knights to a Stanley Cup championship in 2022-23, scoring 13 goals and adding 12 assists in 22 games to take home the Conn Smythe Trophy for playoff MVP.
