TAMPA, Fla. — The Baltimore Orioles are acquiring Shane Baz from the Tampa Bay Rays, according to ESPN reporter Jeff Passan on X.
Passan said sources told ESPN the Rays will trade the right-hander for outfielder Slater de Brun, catcher Caden Bodine, right-hander Michael Forret, outfielder Austin Overn and a Competitive Balance Round A pick.

The 26-year-old starting pitcher has played four seasons with the Rays since 2021.
Baz started 31 games in the 2025 season and went 10–12 with a 4.87 ERA, striking out 176 batters in 166 1/3 innings.
