We had a special scene in the Montreal Canadiens locker room after the solid win against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Following the decisive win against the Blackhawks last night, the team released its traditional “victory video,” and let’s just say this one is quite out of the ordinary.
Jakub Dobes picks the wrong player of the game because he thought Owen Beck had scored
Nick Suzuki was confused as well, and he does not seem to agree with the decision that was made.
“Are you starting to feel for Owen Beck?” – Reporter
“Did they not give it to him? Really? Suzuki replied.
I swear I watched him poke it!”

See the footage here. We love it.
So Dobes actually handed the famous wolf head for player of the game to Owen Beck, before realizing he made a mistake, since Beck was never officially awarded the goal by the National Hockey League.
It makes for a pretty funny scene. Also look at Joe Veleno’s reaction, which is perfect.
“Jakub Dobes thinking Owen Beck had scored his first career NHL goal and then snatching the wolf hat away.
Joe Veleno’s reaction at Brendan Gallagher getting the wolf hat for player of the game.
It’s okay, the Habs vibes are still immaculate.”

Owen Beck also seemed to find the situation pretty amusing.
A reminder that Martin St-Louis’ squad is back in action this Saturday against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
