Following an embarrassing effort in Game 5, Craig Berube made some surprising decisions regarding the Maple Leafs’ lineup ahead of Game 6 on Friday.

The expectation from Leafs Nation was that the duo should be separated to try and generate offense. Unfortunately, as the Leafs got into line rushes at the morning skate on Friday, Berube elected to keep the pair together while shuffling out Robertson and Kampf.

The moves came as a surprise to many with the Leafs’ season on the line. As Matthews and Marner enter what could be their final game together, Leafs Nation is hopeful they will finally be able to contribute offensively in a Game 6.

With all their cards on the table in this series, the Leafs will have to hope for the best possible outcome, as they’ll need to be perfect from here on out to avoid being bounced from Round 2 by the Panthers for the second time in 3 seasons.
