While on the radio broadcast for the Philadelphia Flyers, play-by-play announcer Tim Saunders was caught saying something that he shouldn’t have said.
Saunders assuredly thought the game had gone into a commercial break, assuming the Flyers had gone into a TV timeout with only a few minutes remaining in the third period. After a few moments of dead air, Saunders made some brief humming noises to pass the time.
After nearly twenty seconds, Saunders made a flippant comment to one of his co-workers that was broadcast on the airwaves.

It did not take long for his color commentator, Todd Fedoruk, to notice that listeners could still hear him.
Saunders thought that Fedoruk was kidding and laughed it off, but they were indeed still live.
The Flyers issued a statement that the organization and their broadcast partners at 97.5 The Fanatic have issued a two-game suspension.
While they did not say it was to Saunders, they offered “sincere” apologies to those affected by the comments.
Saunders also issued an apology statement via the Flyers Broadcast Network.
