Leon Draisaitl had a pair of assists, with Andrew Mangiapane getting Edmonton’s first goal to cut their deficit to 2-1 at 13:35 of the first period and Connor McDavid tying the game with a power-play marker at 18:44 of the period. The Wild reclaimed the lead with eight seconds left in the first and never looked back.
Pavel Dorofeyev leads the Golden Knights with 14 goals, and with Eichel sidelined, Mitch Marner’s 34 points are the top mark on the team. Akira Schmid is 11-3-4 in 18 games and 16 starts for Vegas, with two shutouts, a .896 save percentage, and 2.48 goals against average. McDavid leads Edmonton with 22 goals and 59 points, while Draisaitl has 17 markers. Calvin Pickard, thrust into the No. 1 role by Jarry’s injury, is 3-5-2 in 10 starts with an .861 save percentage and 3.93 GAA.
