Mike Modano, a well-known figure in Minnesota hockey, visited a longtime fan in Oakdale.

Modano spent time with 108-year-old Dorothy Heckmann, who has supported local professional teams for decades. He visited her home to talk hockey and wish her and her family happy holidays.

Dorothy has been a fan of the North Stars and now the Wild. She treasures an autographed puck from Modano’s time with the North Stars. “I am so thrilled and happy to meet Dorothy. I mean she is an amazing woman. I am just so lucky. You just made my year and the next year and the next year,” said Modano.

Modano currently serves as an executive advisor for the Minnesota Wild.
