The Vancouver Canucks look to make it five wins in a row against the Philadelphia Flyers, but the lineup decisions made by head coach Adam Foote, have people questioning if it’s going to happen, with Nils Hoglander, Elias Pettersson out, and Evander Kane on the first line, things aren’t adding up.
“It would be very difficult to move Pettersson as he has a No Move Clause, on top of that he has a high cap hit of $11.6M AAV. But it’s starting to feel like he is a cancer in the locker room. He also wasn’t invited to Hughes farewell dinner before being traded.”-Stinson
Elias Pettersson and Nils Hoglander still out for the Vancouver Canucks.
Thomas Drance on X posted the lineup for the red hot Canucks. They have yet to lose a game since trading their former captain Quinn Hughes, and they can continue that trend tonight.
Another big piece to their success has to be the return of Thatcher Demko who has been terrific since returning and leading the Canucks to this 4 game win streak. But he might have some extra work tonight after the most recent lineup reveal.
#Canucks taking line rushes in Philadelphia for the morning skate:
Kane-Rossi-Boeser
DeBrusk-Kampf-Garland
Sherwood-Räty-O’Connor
Öhgren-Sasson-Karlsson
M. Pettersson-Hronek
Buium-Myers
E. Pettersson-Willander
Having Kane on the first line is definitely interesting, given his production this season, and Hoglander and Pettersson still remain a mystery as to why they aren’t playing, when both traveled with the team on this road trip.
On the bright side, Aatu Raty is finally dressing, and deservedly so. He is still playing behind David Kampf which is upsetting considering Raty has more points in one game than Kampf has all season. But, at least he isn’t a healthy scratch this time.
