After a win on home ice on Monday night in the final home game of 2025, the Flyers are right back on the ice on Tuesday night for the final game prior to the NHL’s holiday break. They head to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks.

The Flyers moved into second place in the Metropolitan Division with Monday’s win and can put a bow on top of a solid unofficial first half of the season, Tuesday’s game being their 36th of the season.

Meanwhile, Chicago has struggled in the wake of an injury to its top player, Connor Bedard. The Blackhawks enter Tuesday’s game on a five-game losing streak and are last in the NHL standings.

Game time is at 9 p.m.

Owen Tippett has scored in back-to-back games, following his spectacular goal on Monday night against Vancouver. The Flyers forward is now second on the team in goals with 11 this season.

Andre Burakovsky has picked up points in back-to-back games and has six points in 10 games in December.

Sam Ersson is expected to start for the Flyers. Ersson took the loss in a shootout on Saturday against the New York Rangers, allowing four goals on 27 shots. Ersson’s last win came on Dec. 3 against Buffalo.

Spencer Knight gets the start for Chicago. Knight allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss to Montreal in his last start on Thursday. He is on a personal three-game losing streak.
