Like snapping out of a trance, the Seattle Kraken have come to life since crossing into California. After losing seven of their first eight games in the month of December, the Kraken defeated the Sharks in San Jose 4-2 on Saturday and followed it up with a 3-1 victory on Monday night over the Anaheim Ducks.
Oddly enough, their only win of the aforementioned eight matches came against the Los Angeles Kings at Climate Pledge Arena on December 10th, a 3-2 overtime victory.
LA happens to be the final stop for Seattle on Tuesday night as it looks to stay perfect in Cali’ with the club’s third game in four nights.
If norms persist, expect a tight checking affair.
In San Jose, Chandler Stephenson had an empty-net goal and an assist against the Sharks with defenseman Ryan Lindgren providing the game winner.
In Anaheim Jordan Eberle was a star, with two goals including the winner and an empty-netter in the third period, along with Kraken goalie Philipp Grubauer, who made 40 stops, many of them game savers.
Expect Joey Daccord in net for Seattle against the Kings. He beat LA back on the 10th and made 35 saves in defeating the Sharks three nights ago.
The Kraken have a 5-and-3 record all-time in visits to Los Angeles. The Kings are tied for a wild card playoff spot in the Western Conference. Giving chase, Seattle is five points back.
