Ottawa, Ontario (WGR Sports Radio 550) – Looking to win a seventh game in-a-row, the Buffalo Sabres are visiting the Ottawa Senators at Canadian Tire Centre for what is the team’s final game before Christmas.
The blue and gold opened the scoring with about four-and-a-half minutes left in the first period. A great pass by Jordan Greenway located Bowen Byram bearing down on the doorstep, and Byram tapped a 1-0 lead past former Sabres goalie Linus Ullmark.

Ottawa evened the score before period’s end, though. Forward Ridly Greig led a 2-on-1 in on Alex Lyon, and kept the puck himself to beat Lyon with a backhand.
