Texier left the contest after taking a hit from Bruins forward Fraser Minten. He was slow to his feet on the play and skated right to Montreal’s bench.
The Canadiens ruled Texier out as the puck dropped on the third period.
Texier had played 4:20, took one shot on goal and blocked one shot before leaving.
The 26-year-old Frenchman has emerged as an important part of Montreal’s lineup, averaging 14:27 of ice time since landing with the Canadiens as a free agent in November. He was released a day prior by the St. Louis Blues.
He entered Tuesday with three goals and seven points in 22 games between his two spots.
