After last night’s big win against the Boston Bruins, the Montreal Canadiens released their traditional “victory video,” and we love it.

In the locker room, Martin St-Louis addressed the team to wish his players happy holidays. The kind of simple moment that says a lot about a group that sticks together.

We also got the ritual that always makes fans smile. The player-of-the-game wolf head was awarded to Samuel Blais, and it was Owen Beck who presented it.

St-Louis praised the effort, then brought everyone back to what matters most: family and rest.

The choice of Blais seems to be unanimous in the locker room. At 29 years old, he has already seen enough rinks to know that those little pats on the back have to be earned.

And when the locker room chooses you, that means a lot.

Handing over the wolf head is a small role, but it shows that he’s part of the group. Fans love big goals and big hits, but they also like seeing a locker room that’s alive.

Let’s put it properly: it’s the kind of clip that feels good, especially when the Habs board the plane with a lighter heart.

It’s worth reminding everyone that the Canadiens won 6-2 last night against the Boston Bruins, notably thanks to another strong performance by young Jacob Fowler (26 saves on 28 shots).

It bodes well for what’s ahead!
