The Toronto Maple Leafs are gearing up for battle in Game 7 against the Florida Panthers, and appear to have revealed the status of injured goalie Anthony Stolarz for the game. The injury to Stolarz was a high profile one, and has been a point of controversy in the series, as he was taken out by an elbow to the head, courtesy of Florida’s Sam Bennett, who was not penalized or suspended on the play.

Stolarz has been putting in some work with the goalie coaches before practices over the last week, but did not travel to Florida for Games 3, 4 or 6.

On Sunday morning, the Leafs took to the ice for a brief, mandatory practice ahead of Game 7. Unfortunately, Stolarz was not on the ice for the session.

Stolarz’s absence from the session indicates that he will remain sidelined for the Leafs’ final game of the series against Florida. Certainly not ideal, but with how well Joseph Woll played in Games 4 and 6, there’s certainly reason to believe the Leafs are still in good hands for Game 7.
