When a veteran is traded to the NHL, there’s a good chance he’ll have to uproot his family.
This is indeed what happened to Phillip Danault, who had been living in California since 2021. His return to Montreal means that his wife and their two children will also be living here for the foreseeable future.
That’s quite a change.
Obviously, because Phillip and his wife Marie-Pierre are Québécois, and because the center has spent many years in Montreal, it makes the transition easier.
But it’s still a major adjustment.

And it quickly becomes clear that the change of scenery is welcome.
