ECHL players are on strike amid stalled contract negotiations, affecting tonight’s game at Harding Mazzotti Arena in Glens Falls.
Players voted last week to authorize a strike if a new collective bargaining agreement wasn’t reached. Today, the league made its final offer to the Professional Hockey Players Association.
The offer includes a 19.8 percent salary cap increase for this season, retroactive from the start. The ECHL also promises to cover 100 percent of player costs for housing, utilities, internet, and medical benefits.
Game postponed
According to a social media post from the Adirondack Thunder, tonight’s home game against Trois Rivieres is postponed. The team says all tickets will be transferred to a makeup date, which is yet to be determined.
