Update:

5:30 p.m., May 18, 2025: Updated to add new info from American Airlines Center official.

Katy Perry, who has been on a national concert tour called “The Lifetimes Tour,” had been scheduled to perform at the American Airlines Center Wednesday evening.

But the singer will have to find a new date because the venue will be busy hosting Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals between the Dallas Stars and the Edmonton Oilers.

Stars President and CEO Brad Alberts confirmed to The Dallas Morning News Sunday that his team will play in the AAC Wednesday, meaning Perry’s concert must be moved. The Stars said they were not aware of a new date for the singer’s show, however.

Dave Brown, the chief operating officer and general manager at American Airlines Center, told The News that a new date for the Perry concert is expected to be announced Monday morning.

According to Ticketmaster, Perry is scheduled to perform in Austin on Tuesday before her planned stop in North Texas a day later. After the Dallas stop, Perry isn’t slated to perform again until July 10 in Denver, according to info on Ticketmaster’s website.

It’s not the first time that a Perry show has been bumped because of sports.

Last week, Perry was forced to move her original Denver tour stop to July because her May performance in the Mile High City coincided with Game 6 of the Nuggets vs. Thunder.

A customer service agent for Live Nation, which is producing Perry’s tour, said Sunday that ticketholders would be notified by email if her Dallas concert date is postponed or rescheduled.
