The Tahoe Knights Monsters and the ECHL say all of its players are being forced to go on strike, causing them to postpone Saturday night’s game in Rapid City, South Dakota.

This comes after ongoing collective bargaining agreement negotiations with the Professional Hockey Players’ Association (PHPA).

According to the The ECHL’s website, it made its final offer on Christmas Day.

The league said, “We strongly encouraged union leadership to submit our offer to a vote of its membership, but we do not believe that happened.”

The Knight Monsters hopes to have a team ready to play its next scheduled game.
