The Philadelphia Flyers (19-10-7) kick off an out west road trip on Sunday when they take on the Seattle Kraken (15-14-6) at the Climate Pledge Arena at 8:00 p.m. EST.

Philadelphia went into the holiday break on back-to-back wins, beating the Vancouver Canucks in Philly, then the Chicago Blackhawks on the road before the break. They are 3-1-1 in their previous five games.

The Kraken went into the break hot, winning their final three games before, going 3-2-0 in their last five games.

From the looks of practice on Saturday, it seems as if the Flyers got some good news regarding some injured skaters. Here is how they are expected to line up Sunday vs. the Kraken.

Things to watch

Based on Saturday’s practice, it seems like both Travis Sanheim and Denver Barkey are good to go after injury scares on Tuesday vs. the Blackhawks. Losing Sanheim would have been a terrible blow for the Flyers.

Denver Barkey has been a pleasant surprise so far in his Flyers’ tenure. The young forward has been just as advertised. Like Sanheim, Barkey was pulled on Tuesday with an injury. He is expected to play on Sunday, so once again, we are back on first goal watch for Barkey.

The Flyers’ power play, while better lately, is still near the bottom of the league. They have a great opportunity to get things going on Sunday vs. the 32-ranked Kraken penalty kill. Can Philadelphia make it two straight games with a power play goal?

The Kraken scored the third-lowest goals per game at 2.54. Their goaltending is just above the middle of the league at 2.97. The Flyers will have a good chance at this game if they get the goaltending they have had all season.
