The Vancouver Canucks have made some big changes to their lineup ahead of Monday night’s clash with their Pacific Northwest rivals, the Seattle Kraken.

After falling to the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night, their first game after the NHL’s holiday break, the Vancouver Canucks will be back in action tonight on the road as they make the short trip south to Seattle.

“It’s embarrassing. I mean, anytime you miss a game, it’s, yeah, it’s embarrassing. I’d be wrong if I wasn’t saying I’d be pissed off right now, but I understand. And I need a jolt too, I obviously haven’t been good enough. Anytime that you’re in this position, it’s lots of things. So, you know, I gotta control what I can do from this point forward and just worry about me. I think there’s a lot of different things. The good thing about this situation, in my previous times being scratched, you have a clean slate. So I care less about what has happened.” DeBrusk said about being scratched tonight.

Vancouver Canucks make big changes to lineup for tonight’s game in Seattle

Following Sunday’s practice at Rogers Arena, Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote announced his goaltending plans to reporters ahead of the team’s back-to-back against Seattle tonight and Philadelphia tomorrow.

Foote revealed that Kevin Lankinen will make his 18th start of the season tonight and his first since a shootout win over the Boston Bruins back on December 20th, while Thatcher Demko will be between the pipes against the Flyers on home ice on Tuesday.

“#Canucks Foote confirms Lankinen goes in goal in Seattle. Demko vs Philly at home on Tuesday.” Jeff Paterson of Rink Wide: Vancouver said.

With Jake DeBrusk, along with David Kampf, on the outside looking in tonight against the Kraken, Adam Foote has made some big changes to the team’s forward group.

Brock Boeser has been promoted to the top line where he’ll play with Elias Pettersson and Evander Kane, while Liam Ohgren also earns a promotion as he jumps from the fourth line to the second line where he’ll be with Marco Rossi & Conor Garland.

Aatu Raty will return to the lineup tonight as he’ll center the Canucks’ third line, flanked by Drew O’Connor and Kiefer Sherwood, as Nils Hoglander, Max Sasson and Linus Karlsson will make up the fourth trio.
