The deal carries a $1.35 million average annual value.

Cooley, 28, has served as a backup to starter Dustin Wolf this season. In 13 games, the Los Gatos, Calif., native has a 2.40 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage, carrying a 4-4 record.

Cooley signed as a free agent in 2024, but spent the majority of last season with the AHL’s Calgary Wranglers. With the departure of Dan Vladar to the Philadelphia Flyers last off-season, Cooley took the reins as No. 2 for the big club.

The Wolf-Cooley tandem is now locked under contract through the 2027-28 season.
