The Nashville Predators visit the Seattle Kraken at Climate Pledge Arena on Jan. 1.

The Predators beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 on Dec. 31 with Steven Stamkos scoring his 600th NHL goal in the win. Stamkos now leads the Predators with 18 goals.

Nashville (18-17-4, 40 points) have won two straight and five of their last six games. They are in fourth place in the Central Division, one point behind the Los Angeles Kings for the final wild card spot.

Seattle (16-14-7, 39 points) lost 3-2 to the Vancouver Canucks on Dec. 29. They are in seventh place in the Pacific Division.

Goal scoring has been a problem for Seattle this season. The Kraken rank 30th in the NHL, scoring just 2.57 goals per game. Jordan Eberle leads the team with 25 points and Eeli Tolvanen, a former first-round draft pick of the Predators, leads with 18 assists.

The goaltending matchup should feature Juuse Saros for the Predators and Joey Daccord for the Kraken.
