VANCOUVER, BC — The Seattle Kraken are back on the road for the first time in 2026 with a game against the Vancouver Canucks on Friday.Â
The Canucks host the Kraken at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 2.Â
The game will be broadcast on KING and KONG with pregame coverage starting at 7 p.m.Â

What to know about the Kraken vs. Canucks
The Kraken look to even up against the Canucks after their last game against Vancouver on Dec. 29, when Seattle lost 3-2 in a shootout.
Vancouver’s Linus Karlsson and Elias Pettersson scored in regulation, helping the Canucks snap Seattle’s four-game winning streak on Monday.
Seattle holds a record of 17-14-7 in the division while Vancouver is 16-20-3.Â
The Kraken won 4-1 on Jan. 1 against the Nashville Predators. On Dec. 30, the Canucks fell 6-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers.Â
Jordan Eberle and Eeli Tolvanen lead the Kraken with 25 points each. Pettersson leads the Canucks with 23 points so far this season for Vancouver.Â
Friday’s game is the second matchup for Seattle and Vancouver in the regular season.Â
How to watch the Kraken on KONG
KING 5 and KONG are the official local television partners of the Kraken, bringing the hockey team to free, over-the-air television. The stations will air 73 of the team’s 82 regular-season games, and national broadcast partners will show the remaining nine games.
