The Buffalo Sabres are the hottest team in the NHL and are currently on a 10-game winning streak, but they just got some very bad news.

One of the best players during the winning streak is now out due to injury.

Buffalo Sabres Lose Star Player To Injury

Lyon had been playing amazing hockey during the Sabres’ winning streak. In December, Lyon went a perfect 7-0 with a 2.12 goals-against average and a .921 save percentage. He joined the Sabres this offseason and has been a bright spot for the team. This season, he is 10-6-3 record with a 2.82 GAA and .906 SV%.

Buffalo Sabres Look To Set Franchise Record

The Buffalo Sabres are on a current 10-game winning streak, the 4th one in team history and the longest ever. They will look to set a new franchise record on Saturday on the road as they take on the Blue Jackets in Columbus.

The Blue Jackets won the first meeting of the year between the two teams in Buffalo in overtime. Let’s hope the results are different on Saturday.
