SALT LAKE CITY – Utah Mammoth defenseman Olli Määttä will be a member of Team Finland at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.

Määttä joins Mammoth captain Clayton Keller, who will make his Olympic debut with Team USA. 

The 2026 Games will be held in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, from Feb. 6-22, 2026.

Määttä played 70 games with Utah in 2024-25, notching two goals and 16 assists in nearly 20 minutes of ice time per game. 

He has been limited to 19 games this season. Määttä has one assist while playing less than 12 minutes a night. 

Olli Määttä represents Team Finland for the second time

In his first Olympic Games, Määttä helped the Finns secure a bronze medal at the 2014 Sochi Games.

He added a World Championship silver medal in 2021.

Määttä was an alternate captain with the Finnish team in the 2023 and 2024 World Championships.
