The Nashville Predators visit the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Jan. 3, looking to bounce back from a 4-1 loss to the Seattle Kraken on Jan. 1.

The Predators allowed three early goals to the Kraken and couldn’t recover, suffering their second loss in seven games. Nashville (18-18-4, 40 points) has dropped back to fifth place in the Central Division, three points behind the final wild card spot.

Steven Stamkos, who scored his 600th NHL goal on Dec. 31, leads the Predators with 18 goals.

Calgary (18-18-4, 40 points) is in seventh place in the Pacific Division, but have won three straight games. Nazem Kadri leads the Flames with eight goals and 24 assists.

Michael Bunting led the Predators with two goals, three assists in two wins against the Flames this season, a 4-2 win on Nov. 1 and a 5-1 on Dec. 2.

The goaltending matchup should feature Juuse Saros for the Predators and Dustin Wolf for the Flames.
