The 31-year-old Wilson, who was named to Canada’s Olympic hockey team earlier this week, was injured when ‘Hawks defenceman Connor Murphy threw a surprising hit on Wilson behind the Chicago net which caused Wilson to fall awkwardly on his right foot/leg.

Wilson skated gingerly to the bench and needed help to get to the dressing room.

A native of Toronto, Wilson is on pace for a career season in 2025-26, scoring 22 goals and 20 assists over 40 games. His best season came last year when he netted 33 goals and 32 assists over 81 games.
