Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog is going to miss “some time.”
How much remains to be seen.
Landeskog was hurt against the Florida Panthers on Sunday after a scary collision saw him crash into the goalposts early in the second period. Landeskog, who’s battled a ton of knee injuries to be back on the ice this season, didn’t return for the Avalanche.
They lost for just the third time in regulation all season long.

After the game Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar said Landeskog will “miss some time” with an upper-body injury. No one is rooting for a rib issue, but on the other hand, it’s better than another knee injury for the Colorado captain.
The Avs will be in Tampa Bay later this week before returning home to Denver.
Everyone is rooting for Landeskog after what he’s been through, but right now, hopefully it’s an issue with his ribs and nothing more.
