BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Sabres hosted their sixth annual Pride Night Tuesday at KeyBank Center during their game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Part of the celebration included special practice jerseys designed by Western New York artist and professor Adam Weekley.

Local WNY artist Adam Weekley drew inspiration from his love of Sabres hockey, artistic background, and own experiences to create the perfect crest for our 2026 Pride Night. 💙 pic.twitter.com/6iPfhIW4SJ

“It wasn’t an opportunity I saw coming my way, but I jumped at it and I think again the fact that the Sabres are doing this, the fact that they’re putting time and money and energy into making these things happen, it means a lot,” Weekley told News10NBC’s affiliate in Buffalo.

The proceeds will go to LGBTQIA+ organizations in Western New York.

During the team’s Pride Night game, it was a special night for Rochester Amerks Captain Zach Metsa. He scored his first NHL goal, which was also the game-winning goal.

Metsa made his NHL debut in October, and returned to the Amerks after four games.

The Sabres will now head to New York City to take on the Rangers Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
