Longtime Philadelphia Flyers announcer Tim Saunders was recently suspended for an off-color remark he made during what he thought was a commercial break. “While you’re down there, would you mind blowing me?” he joked with his on-air partner, ex-Flyer Todd Fedoruk, before discovering his hot mic caught the entire moment.
On Monday, Howard and co-host Robin Quivers were more than happy to provide their own commentary. “He did signal that they were going into a break,” a dumbfounded Robin noted of the mistake.
“Then the gentleman crawled underneath my console where I told him to chug my load like he just found water in the desert,” Howard teased in his best sports announcer voice. “I had no recollection that we were on the air.”
