Like some of his other teammates, the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Games will mark Peterka’s Olympic debut. The 23-year-old forward previously played for Germany in several international tournaments, including two IIHF World Junior Championships and three IIHF World Championships.
In 2023, Peterka was named Best Forward and helped lift Germany to a silver medal, breaking a 70-year medal drought at the IIHF World Championships.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games kick off on Feb. 6 and run through Feb. 22. The Men’s Hockey Tournament begins with the preliminary rounds on Feb. 11.
Peterka and Team Germany start their campaign for Olympic gold on Feb. 12 against Denmark in the preliminary round of the men’s tournament. The team will then play Latvia on Feb. 14, before closing the preliminary round against Keller and Team USA on Feb. 15.
